What’s In a Vaccine?

Did you know that ABORTED FETAL TISSUE is in your vaccines?  What about latex, anti-freeze, formaldehyde, cow, monkey, chick, and pig parts, mercury, and other toxic heavy metals and chemicals? Did you know there are actual federal regulations for how someone can handle these toxic chemicals yet they allow us to put them in our kids’ bodies?  Keep reading below to see the entire list and then a glossary of terms (so us normal people can understand what all that stuff really is!).

Vaccinating your child is a very personal choice and we never push our choice onto anyone.  However, I really believe that more people would opt out of them if they knew the whole truth–about what is in them, about what happens to your immune system responses, and what your legal right is to not have them.  KNOWLEDGE IS POWER.
Our family has chosen to not vaccinate our three children.  Although our kids do get sick from time to time, and have even encountered the flu or other things, they have always fought it off…and usually much quicker than the kids around them. We get asked alot, “What about when they go to school? Don’t they have to have vaccinations to get in?” Our school age children have never had a problem getting into school. It is your right, for now, as an American citizen to choose however you as the parent see best for your children. You simply go to your local health dept. and get a piece of paper that says you have chosen to not vaccinate for “religious reasons” (that’s just what the paper says) and then turn it in with your child’s school registration.  It’s that simple.  You may get a few raised eyebrows and even a dirty look or two, but that is OK with me because our decision has come out of an informed place, rather than a place of fear.  Read on so that you can be informed. And then, whatever decision you make for your family, at least you will know you’ve looked at all sides!

Below is a list of ingredients found in vaccinations.  Some may be shocking to you–I know they were to us the first time we saw this list! Please note in the list of vaccine ingredients below the number of common vaccines that are made using tissue from aborted human babiesincluding the measles, mumps, rubella vaccines many children receive.

Should You Supplement Your Diet?

We all know there are certain things we need to do to be healthy—exercise, eat right, get 7+ hours of sleep each night, and take supplements (to make up to what our diet is NOT giving us!).

fastfoodSupplementing is an important thing in the day we live in where we rely on fast food restaurants to make our family dinner every night, where the average American consumes 156 lbs. of sugar per year, and where processed food with little or no nutprocessedfoods1rients fill our pantries.  No wonder our country has come in third to last in health in the world. We are the third sickest country in the world!!  So I would say supplementing our diet is definitely a necessity!

With so many nutritional companies out there, how do you know which one is the best?  How do you know which products you can trust to put into your body? I don’t know about you, but our family is very cautious vitamins3about what we allow to go “down the hatch.”  We have always been big into being able to see the research that proves a product will do what it says it will do.  We are also big on longevity.  How long has a company been around?  How long have they been testing that product before throwing it out to consumers?  Is a product synthetic or natural (b/c we all know that synthetic products do more harm than good in your body)?  These are all questions we should ask as we are searching for supplements to aid in maintaining optimal health for our family.

The answer to these questions was found for us in ashakleeguarantee21 company called Shaklee.  While there are many other reputable companies out there, Shaklee has been proven to be a step above in research and quality.  And, as they say, the “proof is in the pudding.”  Shaklee has been around for 53 years. They are the number one nutritional company in the U.S. and have lead the way in natural nutrition since the 50′s.

Here is only a small example of “the proof.” Our family’s quality of life has been bettered by taking these products.  Nathan’s brother had cancer in his eyes (38 tumors) several years ago.  His tumors were inoperable and doctors could not give him radiation or chemo or he could go blind.  Their only option was to find the best nutritional company out there and pray it worked.  This is when my husband’s brother Andrew, along with the entire Oates family, got on Shaklee.  He also went to Mexico once a year for cancer fighting nutrients. Within 1 ½ years, his cancer was completely gone…and it is to this day, 10 years later.  Nathan’s family has other amazing stories like a severe case of Mononucleosis in Nathan’s twin brother being healed in two weeks and his dad’s migranes disappeared.

My story is that in high school I had anorexia and destroyed my body on the inside. My dream of playing Division I basketball or soccer was slipping away before my eyes. I made a turn-around and regained lost muscle over my senior year.  I went on to play Division I soccer at Liberty University.  Although I was eating properly again, my body had not recovered from the years of damage I had done to it. I would consistently have intense abdominal pain, completely debilitating me from playing or even moving at times.  I would also frequently pass out after really hard runs with the team. Then I was introduced to Shaklee by my future husband.  Within three months on the product it seemed that 4 years worth of damaged had been washed away…for good. I’ve never had another problem since.

Once your life has been changed by something, you want other people to know about it. So that’s what we do…we take great products and then share them with other people in hopes that their lives will be changed too.  But don’t just take our word for it.  Keep reading and see for yourself why Shaklee is head and shoulders above the rest!

Are You Spending a Fortune To Clean Your House?

A friend of ours put together an amazing cost comparison chart showing the difference in the price of conventional household cleaners and our Shaklee Get Clean products.

Wal-Mart as the primary basis of comparison because Wal-Mart is a national brand with a substantial percentage of market share and is known as “the low price leader.”  The Cost Comparison becomes even more powerful by demonstrating that Shaklee products are competitive with and in most cases beat Wal-Mart.

There are many competing products in the comparison, particularly the “green” products available at Wal-Mart.  There are factors other than cost to remember when choosing your cleaning products.  Shaklee Get Clean are non-toxic, biodegradable, are safe around children and adults, leave no harmful residues, and out-performs many leading national brands.

 getclean-cost-comparison1

Our friends have attempted to thoroughly research every category and have followed these principles in designing this comparison sheet:

1.    All comparisons are based on clearly specified manufacturer directions for use and label claims.
2.    Certain categories could not be included because absolutely clear manufacturer claims for usage could not be established, and therefore, a completely verifiable comparison could not be made.
3.    All categories that ARE included have been checked and re-checked and checked again, and where necessary, competitors’ products were purchased and measured — and re-measured — for accuracy to determine number of usages and cost per usage.
4.    Where no specific number of uses has been indicated for the Get Clean product, it was also measured, re-measured, and measured again, and the most conservative number used for comparison to give the competitor the benefit of the doubt.
5.    Wal-Mart was used for comparison pricing specifically because Wal-Mart is a national chain and is generally known as “the low price leader” – again, for the sake of credibility, to create a conservative comparison that gives the competitors the benefit of the doubt.
6.    Earth Fare was used for comparison pricing for the Seventh Generation brand, again, because Earth Fare is a widely-known chain and Seventh Generation is one of the most widely-known “green” brands.

If a particular major product category is NOT included on this sheet, it may be because:

1.    Absolutely clear manufacturer claims for usage could not be established, and therefore, a completely verifiable comparison could not be made.  Or,
2.    While Get Clean products are “competitive” in price in every category, they are not necessarily always the least in usage cost.  Certainly, they are advantageous and beneficial for many other reasons and should be promoted based on those reasons and are not included on this price comparison sheet.
